Gordon Roe
William Gordon Roe (5 January 1932 – 19 July 1999) was an English divine and the Suffragan Bishop of Huntingdon from 1980 until 1997.
Roe was born on 5 January 1932〔”Who's Who 1992“(London, A & C Black ISBN 0-7136-3514-2)〕 and educated at Bournemouth School and Jesus College, Oxford. After a curacy at Bournemouth 〔“Crockford's clerical directory, 1995” (Lambeth,Church House ISBN 0-7151-8088-6)〕 he was Priest in charge of St Michael's, Abingdon〔”Debrett's People of Today 1992” (London, Debrett's) ISBN 1-870520-09-2)〕 and then Vice Principal of St Chad's College, Durham. Following this he was Rural Dean of Durham until his elevation to the Episcopate. Roe died on 19 July 1999.〔(On-line obituary )〕
